Cambridge, MA, November 5, 2007 -- Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (Nasdaq: VRTX) today announced that it will webcast its corporate presentations at the 9th Annual MASS Opportunities Investment Conference on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 2:45 p.m. EST and at the Credit Suisse Health Care Conference on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. MST (7:00 p.m. EST).

The presentations will be webcast live and may be accessed from the 'Events & Presentations' on the home page of Vertex's website at www.vrtx.com. A replay of the webcasts will also be available on the Company's website for two weeks following the presentations.
