Vertex Pharmaceuticals Announces Webcast of its Presentation at Goldman Sachs’ Twenty-Sixth Annual Global Healthcare Conference

Cambridge, MA, June 9, 2005 -- Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (Nasdaq: VRTX) will webcast its corporate presentation at Goldman Sachs' 26th Annual Global Healthcare Conference in Dana Point, California. A presentation and discussion will be conducted by Joshua Boger, Ph.D., Vertex's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 7:30 a.m. PDT.
