Vertex Pharmaceuticals Announces Webcast of its Presentation at the 23rd Annual JPMorgan Healthcare Conference

Cambridge, MA, January 5, 2005 -- Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (Nasdaq: VRTX) will webcast its corporate presentation at JPMorgan's 23rd Annual Healthcare Conference in San Francisco, California. The presentation will be delivered by Joshua Boger, Ph.D., Vertex's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer on Monday, January 10, 2005, at 4:30 p.m. EST.
